Overview
This article demonstrates how to adjust customer invoices in the Receivables Module of Oracle.
Essential Information
- The department needs the UCSD AR Adjustment Role to be able to create an invoice adjustment.
- Adjustments amend the invoice within; a credit is not applied against the original invoice.
Next Steps
- Go to Oracle Financial Cloud.
- Select Company Single Sign-On and use your Single Sign-On credentials to Sign in.
- Select Billing and Receivables > Billing
- Click on the Search icon to the right and enter one required field:

- Transaction Number
- Transaction Date
- Bill-to Customer Account Number
5. Select the desired Transaction Number.
6. Then open the Actions dropdown and select Manage Adjustments.
7. Select Actions > Create or the "+" sign.
8. Enter the required fields:
- Receivables Activity
- Adjustment Type
- Line adjustments: Use to adjust invoice lines. Enter positive number if increasing the invoice amount or negative amount if reducing.
- Invoice adjustment: Use if cancelling the entire invoice amount.
- Tax or Freight adjustments: Use to modify tax or freight charges.
- Charges adjustments: For central use only.

- Adjustment Date
- Accounting Date
- Installment Number
9. Provide an Adjustment Reason and Comments, then Submit. The Adjustment will route for approval to the AR Team.
