Overview
This KBA is intended to:
- Help users identify each type of Project Commitment
- Provide information on how each type is created and lifted
- Provide guidance on troubleshooting any Commitment questions or issues

Steps to Take
Navigate to Committed Costs
- On the OFC homepage, click Projects and Awards then Costs
- In the Costs Overview page, at the right, click the Task icon
- In Review and Adjust, click Manage Committed Costs

Search for Committed Costs on a Project
- In Manage Committed Costs, click Advanced
- In the Search dialog box, in Project Number, enter the Project Number
- In Task Number, you may also specify a Task
- Click Search

Manage the Columns
- In the Search Results, you can manage the displayed columns, click View, then Columns
- In the slide out menu, scroll to the bottom
- Click Manage Columns
- In Hidden Columns, select the column you would like to display and then click the single right arrow
- We recommend displaying these columns:
- Document: shows the type of Commitment you're reviewing, e.g. a Purchase Order
- Source Application Commitment Number: shows the Transaction Number, e.g. a PO number
- Expenditure Type: shows how the transaction was categorized
- Supplier Name: shows the Supplier with whom the transaction is associated
- Requester: shows the UC San Diego point of contact on the transaction
- Click OK
- This process only needs to be performed once, as the system will remember the columns you select
