Overview
If you receive a package that was delivered to the wrong department or person, it's important to return it to Central Receiving so it can be properly redirected. This article outlines the steps UC San Diego campus users should take to return a misdelivered package efficiently.

All returns must go through Central Receiving / Receiving & Distribution using the official Logistics Request Form

The Logistics Portal requires a secure, VPN connection to access if not utilizing campus protected wireless or a campus ethernet connection
Steps to Take
Navigate to the Logistics Portal
- Sign on to https://logistics.ucsd.edu/ using your UC San Diego Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
Note: VPN is required when accessing from off-campus.
- Once signed in, confirm that you are on the Receiving & Distribution tab on the Home page
- Select Logistics Request Form from the available options

Fill Out the Logistics Request Form
- Under Request Type, choose Return Mis-Delivered Item to Central Receiving

- Complete all required fields in the form
- Pick-Up Notes: Help us locate your package by letting us know where you'll leave it
- Pacakges should not be left in public spaces/hallways

- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Submit
Note: Your request will not be processed until it has been submitted

- Once submitted, please allow 10-15 minutes for the email confirmation to be sent
Final Steps
- Print the confirmation page and attach to the package
- Place your package in the area referenced in the Pick-Up Notes
