How UCSD Health Users Can Request Access to UCSD Campus Microsoft Teams


Overview


UC San Diego Health and UCSD Campus operate in separate Microsoft 365 environments (tenants), which prevents Health users from joining Campus Teams or Shared Channels on their own. While Microsoft does not currently support cross-tenant access for Shared Channels, Health users can be manually added as guests to Campus Teams by request. These requests are routed through the ITS Messaging & Collaboration team. 

Steps to Take

2. Submit a Ticket 

If you are requesting access to the Budget and Finance CoP Team:

If you are requesting access to any other Campus Team:

  1. Go to the ITS Service Portal
  2. Click “Get Help”
  3. Complete the following information in the form:
         Short Description: Please add Health user to [Team Name] (ITS-MessagingCollaboration)
         Description:
         Please add me to the [Team Name] team.
         Teams Link: [Paste the Teams link here, if available]
  4. Submit the request. An invitation will be sent once access is granted.
