• UCSD Moving Services coordinates and performs office and lab moves, uncrates large equipment and furniture, and assembles free-standing and modular furniture.
• All laboratory equipment must be cleared by Environment, Health & Safety and tagged prior to Moving Services handling the equipment:
  
  • Contact the Environment, Health, and Safety Office Research Assistance Program (RAP) specialist assigned to your area.
• For excess material sent to Surplus Sales, a Surplus Transfer Request (STR) is required as Surplus Sales will not accept delivery of material without a completed STR.

A: Yes, Moving Services mounts all dry erase boards of any size.

Q: Does Moving Services mount load bearing items (shelving, cabinets, flipper cabinets) on walls?

A: Yes, Moving Services ensure it is mounted safely and securely.

Q: Does Moving Services reconfigure office furniture?

A: Yes, for complex configurations, a rough sketch may be required.

A: Yes, Moving Services may request some measurements be taken prior to the modification.

Q: Does Moving Services provide cubicle reconfiguration?

A: Yes, Moving Services also provides cubicle mantling and dismantling.

Q: Does Moving Services provide services for relocating medical equipment?

A: Yes, all pertinent information (gate codes, stall number, keys, etc) will need to be provided to complete the request.

Q: Can Moving Services empty out my storage container?

A: Yes. Details of how the items should be disposed of will be required to complete the service.
