Overview
Each Kaltura entry has a unique identifier: its entry id. Particularly in support situations, it can be handy to know how to find it. This tutorial applies to all Kaltura users.

Prerequisites
- You must be an owner or a co-editor. Admittedly, there are ways that others can figure out the entry ID, but this documentation is written for people who are allowed to edit a Kaltura media entry.
Steps to Take
You can find the entry ID for an entry in either Canvas or MediaSpace. Follow the first few steps, follow the instructions based on where you intend to perform the action.

- Log into Canvas.
- Go to https://canvas.ucsd.edu.
- Enter your active directory credentials.
- Within Canvas, click My Media in the left navigation.
- Locate the video whose captions you want to edit, and click the pencil icon in its row.

- Log into MediaSpace.
- Go to https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu.
- Click the profile icon at the top right of the page and select Login.
- Enter your active directory credentials.
- Click the profile icon again and select My Media.
- Locate the video in question, click the kebab on its row (three dots), and select Edit.

- Within the gray box next to the media player, you should see a line that says "Media entry ID." Copy the text after that.
