If your fax machine won't dial long-distance numbers, especially if the numbers include authorization codes, use this checklist to help solve the problem.

Solution

Check the number you dialed

If you dialed the number incorrectly, redial it.

Check your fax machine user manual

Find out if your fax machine needs to be programmed to accept more than 21 digits.
