Release 8.14.0 introduced new features, fixes, and updates to the campus instance of ServiceNow at UCSD and was implemented on Feb 03, 2021.

Service Portal

• To ensure that automated workflows that utilize approvals in ServiceNow continue forward when a critical approver is not available (due to being out-of-office for example), we have released a new form that will allow users to request to transfer active approvals from one user to another. Upon submission and approval from ITS-SNOW, the approval request(s) in question are immediately transferred and the new approver will be able to take action by going to their approvals in My Stuff.
• We recently added a new form on the Finance portal (the Wire Request form). We have slightly updated the questions asked on the form.
• We have added the ability to update the overview and the more information field of an offering on the Service (Add / Edit) form.

• When viewing a service offering on the request catalog, you will only see information (such as more information, rates, etc) if it is filled out.

Group Management

• The access controls for the "Group membership leads" field for assignment groups has been updated so that write access is properly restricted to the group's manager and current group membership leads.
