Delete a Chapter from Kaltura Media


Overview

Any owner or co-editor of a piece of Kaltura media can delete chapters from it. This can be done in either Canvas or MediaSpace.

Steps to Take

To delete a chapter, you have to get to the "timeline" tab of an entry in "My Media." If you're already there, feel free to jump to step 2.

  2. Delete Your Chapter

Step 1: Get to the "Timeline" Tab

Chapters can be deleted in either Canvas or MediaSpace. 

In CanvasIn MediaSpace
  1. Log into Canvas.
    1. Go to https://canvas.ucsd.edu. 
    2. Enter your active directory credentials.
  2. Within Canvas, click My Media in the left navigation.
  3. Locate the video whose captions you want to edit, and click the pencil icon in its row.
  1. Log into MediaSpace.
    1. Go to https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu. 
    2. Click the profile icon at the top right of the page and select Login.
    3. Enter your active directory credentials.
  2. Click the profile icon again and select My Media.
  3. Locate the video in question, click the kebab on its row (three dots), and select Edit. 
  1. Click on the Timeline tab below the video preview.

Step 2: Delete Your Chapter

  1. Click on any of the existing chapter markers on the timeline.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Delete Chapter.
