Rename Devices for Duo Two-Step Login


Once you have registered multiple devices, you may want to rename them to make them easier to quickly recognize - for example, personal cellphone, university cellphone, office landline, home landline, etc.

Steps to Take

  1. Visit the device management interface ( and log in with Active Directory credentials.
  2. Complete two-step login process by using an existing, registered device.
  3. Once logged in, click the blue Device Options button next to the device you would like to rename.
  4. Select the Change Device Name button and type a new name in the text field.  Click Save when done.
