Restore an Entry in the Recycle Bin


Overview

When you delete a Kaltura entry, it's first put in the recycle bin where it will remain for 30 days before being deleted permanently. This knowledge base article walks you through how to restore an entry in the recycle bin to your "My Media."

This article applies to all Kaltura users.  

Steps to Take

You can restore entries from the recycle bin in either Canvas or MediaSpace, but getting to the recycle bin is slightly different in each instance. 

Instructions on how to get to My Media in both Canvas and MediaSpace.
In CanvasIn MediaSpace
  1. Log into Canvas.
    1. Go to https://canvas.ucsd.edu.
    2. Enter your Active Directory credentials.
  2. Get to the recycle bin.
    1. Within Canvas, click My Media in the left navigation.
    2. Click My recycle bin near the top of the page.
  1. Log into MediaSpace.
    1. Go to https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu.
    2. Click the profile icon at the top right of the page and select Login.
    3. Enter your Active Directory credentials.
  2. Click the profile icon again and select My Recycle Bin.

  2. Towards the top of the page, click Actions and then Restore.
