Configure Windows to use UCSD-PROTECTED Wireless Service


Overview


Follow these steps to set up your Windows computer to use the WPA2-E encrypted campus wireless at UC San Diego, UCSD-PROTECTED.

Steps to Take


Windows 10/11

  1. Click on the Wireless Network Connection icon on the bottom right of your screen near the system clock.
  2. Click on the UCSD-PROTECTED network.
  3. Ensure the "Connect automatically" box is checked and click Connect.
  4. Enter your Active Directory username and password.
  5. Once connected, the Secure Connect landing page (captive portal) may appear. If it does, you will want to click on the button "Connect to UCSD-Protected".connect to UCSD PROTECTED landing page
