Release 9.0.0 introduced the following new features, fixes, and updates to the campus instance of ServiceNow at UC San Diego and was implemented on March 12, 2021.
Paris
- The UCSD campus instance of ServiceNow has been upgraded to the Paris version, our 9th major version since inception. Releases will now be denoted as version 9.x.x to indicate this, with this release officially being 9.0.0.
Dashboards & Reports
- Dashboard owners and editors can now add a widget called "Refresh" found in the "Refresh" widget category to their dashboards. This widget allows the owner to set the dashboard to automatically refresh the dashboard after a designated interval of time.
Knowledge
- The Knowledge Base category page has been updated with the following sorting method for articles:
- First articles in the selected category appear first (most popular articles first)
- Articles that are in subcategories of the selected category appear next, sorted by subcategory and popularity
- The Knowledge Base category page has been updated to allow users to sort by the above method (default) or by popularity or by updated date/time. If selecting popularity or updated date/time, category ordering is ignored.
Request Catalog
- The UCPath Access Request & Access Removal Request forms have been updated to only accept entries for employees with UCPath ID numbers. Supervisor information, UCPath ID, and email address will continue to populate automatically once an employee has been selected.
- An example Request Item producing Catalog Item has been added for training and demo purposes.

- We have release the Budget & Finance Enhancement Request form on the finance portal. This will streamline a user request for new, modified or enhanced financial system features, reports, or business processes.
