Overview
There are two way to schedule meetings with Skype for business: through your Outlook email client or through the Outlook Web App (Office 365).
Critical Concepts
- Requirements: Office 365 business or enterprise subscription that includes Skype for Business (login and password required)
- You can schedule a Skype for Business meeting with someone even if they don't have Skype for Business. Provide your non-UCSD meeting invitees with instructions for using the free Skype for Business Web App
Steps to Take
Using Microsoft Outlook
- In your Outlook Calendar, click on New Skype Meeting
- Fill out the fields as you would for a standard Outlook meeting (To, Subject, Start Time, etc.)
- You can use the Skype Meeting Options to control who is a presenter and who has active IM (chat), audio and video
- Click Send
Using Outlook Web App
- Click the:
- Calendar tab: select the date you want and then click New Event
- OR
- People tab: select a contact or group and then click Schedule meeting under their name
- In the meeting window, click Online meeting
- Fill in the appropriate fields (add participants, set date/time, etc.)
- Click Send
