Overview
WalkMe has been selected by the Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) program as UC San Diego’s digital adoption platform (DAP). WalkMe is used to augment training and accelerating system adoption by adding in-system help when you need it.
When the WalkMe layer of technology is added to participating UC San Diego systems, we rely on the WalkMe web browser extension to deliver this functionality to end users. For this reason, we need everyone at UC San Diego to install the WalkMe browser extension.
Follow these steps to install the WalkMe browser extension.

There are currently vendor issues with the extension working on Safari. Stay tuned for when the Safari extension is enabled.
Steps to Take
There are two ways the WalkMe web browser extension may be installed on your computer, by downloading it yourself or by your local IT.
Individual: Installation of the WalkMe web browser extension
To download the WalkMe web browser extension for your self you'll need:

- The WalkMe web browser extension only needs to be downloaded once. This will allow WalkMe to work across all applications.
- No further steps besides downloading the extension are required.
Local IT: Installation of the WalkMe web browser extension
- Your local IT Department may install the WalkMe web browser extension for you using a central administration tool. See our instructions Check to See if the WalkMe Browser Extension is Installed and Working Properly.
- Your local IT may need to conduct the installation if you do not have administrative rights to your computer.
- The WalkMe web browser extension only needs to be downloaded once. This will allow WalkMe to work across all applications.
- No further steps besides downloading the extension are required.
Instructions & Resources for Local IT:
