Critical Concepts


UCSD Gmail Account


1. Enable IMAP

  1. Sign into UC San Diego Gmail at gmail.ucsd.edu
    1. Select your UC San Diego email or click Add Account.
  2. Click the gear icon and select Settings.
  3. Under the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, select Enable IMAP.
  4. Click Save Changes.

2. Add Account to iOS

  1. Open the Settings application, then go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Select Add Account → Google.

  1. Open the Settings application, then go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Select Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account.

Select IMAP from the two account types.
