UC San Diego maintains a list of common Windows and Mac operating systems (OS) that are officially supported on the UC San Diego campus networks. These operating systems are officially supported by Microsoft and Apple, which means they receive all of the latest updated and security patches. Older versions of Windows and Mac do not receive these updates and become a security concern for both the user and others on the network. The Windows and Mac operating systems that are currently supported on our networks are listed below.
If you have a Windows or Mac OS that is not on this list, we highly recommend that you update it to the latest version possible.
