This article details the Save as Draft functionality in ServiceNow.
Save as Draft was enabled in the 14.1.0 ServiceNow Release, as part of the ServiceNow Washington Release features. Save as Draft enables forms on support.ucsd.edu to be saved for the future. This is particularly useful for long forms that may require multiple sessions before submission. It is important to note - this function is not a template function, it is meant to help you save your forms as you fill them out. Once you submit a drafted form, the draft will no longer be available for you to use.
To save, simply click on the "Save as Draft" button. You will then be prompted to enter a name for your draft. Give your draft a useful name that you will remember to return to.
To view your Saved Drafts, go to My Stuff > Drafts. You'll be taken to a page that lists all drafts that you have saved. Click on any draft to be taken to the corresponding form with the fields filled in when you saved.
If you return to a fresh instance of the form, you'll see a notification saying that a draft of the form is saved with a link to your drafts page. Should you work on the fresh instance and save as draft, you'll be prompted to save a separate draft.
