Release 14.5.0 introduced the following fix to the campus instance of ServiceNow at UC San Diego and was implemented on August 14, 2024.

Notifications

• Added new mechanism to use ServiceNow's native SMS messaging system over our currently utilized paid Twilio messaging, unless we flip a system property we created (ucsd.send.with.twilio) which will use Twilio whenever email goes down.
• Created a notification that will be sent to SNOW team whenever a department's source doesn't match the parent's source.

Request Catalog

• Added UC Learning to the Oracle & Concur Order Guide.
• Updated Budget and Finance Enhancement Request Form, including verbiage and assignment group changes. 

Back End Data

• Created a scheduled job to check for Yellow Belt and FERPA completion to populate the User Skills table.
• Fixed an issue with the "tagged assets" MRVS that prevented search of assets by serial number, if the "Asset tag" field is empty.
• Added metrics for agent updates, agents adding comments, and agents adding work notes.

Security Enhancements

• Per ServiceNow's Security Recommendation, we added or disabled various properties to enhance security across the system. 
  • Adjusted Can Read and Can Contribute Roles in Knowledge Bases per ServiceNow's security recommendations. 
  • Disabled glide.angular.legacy and glide.jquery.legacy system properties.
