Overview
The following article outlines instructions on how to log into PROD Web Client and PROD Unity Client.
Logging in to the PROD Web Client
The PROD client is the production environment of OnBase. This environment will be actively used by most users and should not be used for testing purposes.
- Open your Chrome browser and navigate to https://ucsd.hylandcloud.com/
- If you are not logged in to UCSD Active Directory, you will be prompted to login using your Active Directory credentials.
- After you submit your credentials, or if you were already logged in, you will be presented with the Document Retrieval home screen for OnBase. You will be able to search for documents using the left-hand menu to choose the required document type. Alternatively, you can navigate to other screens (custom queries, document importing, workflows, etc.) by using the hamburger menu in the top left of the screen (shown with arrow below).
Logging in to the PROD Unity Client
The Unity Client is very similar in function to the Web Client version of OnBase. The Unity Client has additional User Interface (UI) features that may be preferable to some users, but most users who only use OnBase to retrieve and view documents will only need the Web Client. The PROD client is the production environment of OnBase. This environment will be actively used by most users and should not be used for testing purposes.
- Copy the following link and paste it into a Microsoft Edge browser and press enter: https://ucsd.hylandcloud.com/211unityidp. This will begin a download for a ClickOnce installer to install the PROD Unity Client. After the download is complete, you may be asked to open the file like in the image below. Please choose open and not cancel.
- Note: All of the below are required for the OnBase Unity client (yes all four C++ packages). If you are unable to view documents in the Unity client, you are likely missing these C++ dependencies. If you are unable to install these yourself, please work with your desktop support.
- OnBase Office Integration Clients (Outlook, Word, Excel):
- All of the above plus:
- Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) 10.0.50325 or higher. Hyland Software provides a software package that can be installed to help meet this dependency.
- Office 2016 32-bit only
- Office 2019 / O365 32-bit only
- After completing the install process, double click the installed program shortcut on your desktop. It should include [ucsd_idp] which indicates you will be opening the PROD client.
- After opening the program shortcut, a window will open where you will be prompted to sign-in using your Active Directory login information. Enter your information and click the Login button.
- This will bring you to the homepage for the PROD Unity Client. Here you can choose from a variety of different actions at the top of the window.
