IT Services - Can't Hear Callers on Desk Phone

Problem

You can't hear callers when you pick up your desk phone.

Solution

Check the volume control

If the volume is turned down too low, it will interfere with incoming audio.

Try using the speakerphone

If you can hear the caller when you use your speakerphone, your handset may need repair.

Reconnect the phone line

Unplug the phone line from the wall jack, then plug it in again. This can clear up a problem with a bad connection.
