With the Duo prompt on the web browser, you may be receiving an error message when you try to select "Remember me for 7 days" or may be receiving the two-step login prompt repeatedly, despite selecting this option.
The "Remember me" feature for Duo two-step login relies upon your web browser's saved cookies. If you have already selected the "Remember me for 7 days" option on your web browser, but still keep getting prompted to perform two-step verification each time, this usually indicates that your web browser is blocking third-party cookies such as Duo Security.
Cookies are small files that save basic data that allows your browser to remember your preferences or activity on a website - Duo uses cookies to track when you have selected the remember me option. This means that "remember me" only remembers your specific web browser, not your computer, so if you are switching over to a different web browser or device, the remember me option will not carry over.
If the "remember me" feature is not working, follow these steps to add an exception to allow third-party cookies from Duo Security:
Safari does not have an option to add individual exceptions for sites. You will need to enable third-party cookies on Safari to allow Duo Security to remember your two-step login:
If your browser is not listed, please consult your web browser's support pages for allowing third-party cookies.
