Educational Technology Services (ETS) personal and course accounts may be suspended or closed for various reasons. The most common are listed below.
UC San Diego students are eligible to use ETS accounts, labs, and printing services only during quarters for which they are currently enrolled. ETS uses data obtained regularly from the Registrar to determine whether student accounts should remain open.
Course-specific accounts are closed and removed from ETS systems immediately after the end of each quarter.
Accounts will be suspended the second consecutive quarter a student is not enrolled. To be considered enrolled you must be listed in ISIS (TritonLink) for the current quarter with a Registration Status of either Registered or Enrolled.
Students participating in the Education Abroad Program (EAP) are considered enrolled and their accounts remain active. Students away through the OAP program are on a list sent to ETS and will have their accounts open as long as the student is registered through the program.
Students who applied to graduate will automatically have the closing date of their accounts extended.
Accounts which are found to have crackable passwords or which appear to have been compromised are suspended to protect files and privacy. If your account has been suspended, please contact the Service Desk.
If you still have questions or need additional assistance, please submit a ticket or call the ITS Service Desk at (858) 246-4357
