Overview

WalkMe was selected by the Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) program as UC San Diego’s digital adoption platform (DAP).

WalkMe provided direct communication from the project team, links to client support avenues, access to search Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), automated processes to make work more efficient, and contextual tips, in addition to carefully crafted step-by-step guides.

WalkMe no longer served out purposes and was decommissioned on January 1, 2024. In February 2024, your local IT contacts will be delivering information about removal of the WalkMe Browser Extension (WMBE). If, after February, you follow the steps below and find that the WMBE is still installed, contact your local IT support team.  

Critical Concepts

• The WalkMe Browser extension/plug-in/add-on name varies with the browser you use. To simplify these instructions we refer to it as an "extension".
• The extension was only installed once to work for all applications.

• • If the extension is still installed, contact your local IT or the ITS Service Desk to request removal.

Another way to verify is to look for WalkMe content in the applications you have used WalkMe. If you see elements like those below, contact your local IT or the ITS Service Desk:
