Overview
Many pages on the ISA allow you to use filters to control what information is displayed. Different filters are available on different pages, but all filters use the same basic interface.
Multiple filters can be used simultaneously to further refine the information that is displayed.
Annual Schedule Builder (ASB) Filters
The ISA ASB can be accessed at https://instructionalscheduling.ucsd.edu/scheduler/annual-schedule-builder
The ASB (see KB0033134) includes the following filters:

The QSB (see KB0033138) includes the following filters:
- Toggle listing the schedule by course or by primary instructor (note: when filtering by "primary instructor" some of the other filters below will not be available to combine with this filter) (② below)
- Adjust the width and/or height of the schedule grid (③ below)
- Choose which academic levels are displayed (④ below)
- Filter by course groups (⑤ below) (see KB0033236)
- Filter by instructor groups (⑥ below) (see KB0033221)

Schedule Submission Filters
The ISA Class Schedule Submissions (KB) can be accessed at https://instructionalscheduling.ucsd.edu/scheduler/schedule-submissions. Click on the filter icon at the top of each column (① below) to see the filters that are available for that particular column. Filters can be combined by first filtering one column, then applying filters to additional columns to further refine your search.
- The "Instruction Type" (② & ③ below) and "Submission Status" (④ & ⑤ below) filters have fields that allow you to select items from a list to be displayed.
- The "Section Code," "Enrollment Limit," and "Date Submitted" filters allow you to apply multiple filters (or "rules") to each column. You must first select between "Match All" and "Match Any" (⑥ below):
- Choose "Match All" if you want to create multiple rules for the column, and only display results that meet every rule. For example, in the "Date Submitted" column you could combine a rule to filter all courses submitted after March 1st with a rule to filter all courses submitted before March 31st. This would only display courses submitted between March 1-31.
- Choose "Match Any" if you want to create multiple rules for the column, and display results that meet any of these rules. For example, in the "Section Codes" column you could combine a rule to filter all section codes ending in "00" with a rule to filter all section codes ending in "50." This will display all primary course components (i.e., A00, B00, C00, etc.) and also all tertiary course components (i.e., A50, B50, C50, etc.)
- The "Section Code," "Enrollment Limit," and "Date Submitted" columns have different ways to create rules, based on the data in each column. For example, rules for "Enrollment Limits" could be set to filter enrollments greater or less than certain numbers (⑦ below), while rules for "Date Submitted" could be set to filter submissions before or after a specific date (⑧ below).
- After creating a rule for the filter, if you’d like to combine it with another rule click the "Add Rule" button (⑨ below).
