Remove a Student's Attempt on a Kaltura In-Video Quiz


Overview

There may be times when you want to remove a user's attempt on your in-video quiz. For example, perhaps you've set up your quiz to only allow for one attempt, but you're allowing the student to try again. This tutorial walks you through how to remove that student's previous attempt. 

While these instructions apply to all Kaltura users (UCSD students, instructors, and staff with active directory credentials), they're likely most applicable to instructors offering in-video quizzes within their Canvas courses (whether integrated with the gradebook or not).

Steps to Take

In-video quiz responses can be removed within Canvas or MediaSpace. Follow the first three steps based on where you want to perform the action.

  1. Log into Canvas.
    1. Go to https://canvas.ucsd.edu
    2. Enter your active directory credentials.
  2. Within Canvas, click My Media in the left navigation.
  3. Locate the video in question and click the analytics icon (the bar graph) on its row.

    1. Go to https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu
    2. Click the profile icon at the top right of the page and select Login.
    3. Enter your active directory credentials.
  2. Click the profile icon again and select My Media.
  3. Locate the video in question, click the kebab on its row (three dots), and select Analytics.

  2. Find the user whose attempt you want to remove. Click the trashcan icon on their row.
  3. Confirm you want to remove the user's attempt and responses by clicking Remove Last Attempt.
