Overview
There may be times when you want to remove a user's attempt on your in-video quiz. This tutorial walks you through how to do so.
While these instructions apply to all Kaltura users (UCSD students, instructors, and staff with active directory credentials), they're likely most applicable to instructors offering in-video quizzes within their Canvas courses (whether integrated with the gradebook or not).
Critical Concepts
- This will only remove the student's attempt from Kaltura - not Canvas. If your in-video quiz is integrated with the Canvas gradebook, it won't change the number of attempts the student has made on the Canvas assignment. It will only delete their responses within the Kaltura analytics.
- You have to do it one-by-one. You can't currently bulk-delete students' responses. If you want to remove all responses, send an email to kaltura@ucsd.edu and we can, in turn, create a case with Kaltura Support.
- No backsies. You can't undo it. If you delete a user's attempt, their responses are gone. Forever. OK, we're being a bit dramatic, but just be sure you want to delete it. You can always download an individual user's responses from the Quiz Users tab by expanding their responses and clicking the download button.
