Release 13.30.0 introduced new features, fixes, and updates to the campus instance of ServiceNow at UC San Diego and was implemented on June 26, 2024.

Service Catalog

• Made the "Reassign hardware to:" variable visible in the Pickup task to allow for easier reassignment if the task was sent to the Field Support intake queue.
• Added new form called Create Problem from Jira Epic. Enter a Jira Epic Number and the Jira details will be added to the fields ready to create a Problem record.
• New project intake form for ITS Requests.
• Adds the Equipment Fabrication Closeout Request Form.
• Updates to the Talent Support Services Order Guide.

• Removed the following iPad accessories from the order form:

  • iPad Pro (11") / Air (10.9") Smart Keyboard Folio
  • iPad Pro (11") / Air (10.9") Magic Keyboard Folio
  • iPad Pro (12.9") Smart Keyboard Folio

• Updates to variables on the One Time Payment Request form.

• Modified how Assets are "assigned" to departments
  • "Department" field has been renamed "Purchased By" and a filter has been added to only allow OFC FinUnits. This field denotes which campus department purchased the asset.
  • "VC Area" field on the asset table has been reverted back to default "Company" field and all assigned values purged. The Company field has been hidden from the default record view for Assets, and should no longer be used.
  • Two new read-only reference fields have been added: "Assigned Department" and "Assigned VC Area". These two fields are not editable, and reference the person in the "Assigned To" field of the asset.

HR

• Displayed 'Transferred From Task' field to HR Cases. 

Case

• Reactivated the ability for checklist items to create work notes in cases.
