Release 14.3.0 introduced the following new features, fixes, and updates to the campus instance of ServiceNow at UC San Diego and was implemented on July 31, 2024.
Change Management
- Updated the change request workflow notifications so that there's an extra line after the UCSD Header Logo.
- Change form is modified to include an 'Informational' category which, when selected, will not require any approvals. Change will typically be reviewed in the CAB. Updated normal change workflow is updated to bypass approvals when Informational category is selected.
Data
- Reversed the parent/child directionality of "Managed By::Manages" CI relationship type to "Manages::Managed By", to match ServiceNow's documentation.
Email
- Routed certain email addresses for Financial Aid Services to create cases in ServiceNow.
Request Catalog
- Added separate notification for Invoice Approvers on the ITS Purchasing Form.
- Added help text within the TSS Order Guide
- Verbiage changes on the UCPath Access form.
Service Portal
- Filtered out agents who don't have active employee status in Employee Center, so they don't show up as Direct Reports or Coworkers for existing agents.
Service Portfolio
- Retired Check Research Request and Messenger Services service, and added Gift Cards, and Check service to the Business & Finance Portfolio
