Overview
This article covers how to create a score chart in the Platform Analytics Experience for agents in ServiceNow.
Critical Concepts
- You can create your own trend report visualizations in the Analytics Center with any allowed data table from ServiceNow.
- This article will cover creating a trend report from the Case table for my groups, created last two years, trend by created, group by assignment group, customized colors.
Steps to Take
Create a Visualization
- In Agent View, via the All menu, type in 'Platform Analytics', and select "Analytics Center".
- On the main Analytics Center page, scroll down and click on "Create new visualization"
Select and Filter Data Source
- Click on "Add data source"
- Find and select the Table that you want. For this article, we will proceed with the Case table.
- Click on "+ Add custom conditions" to add filters.
- To filter for my groups, add a condition for "Assignment group", operator "is (dynamic)", and value "One of My Groups". This will filter for all groups that you are a part of. To filter for tasks created last 2 years, add an "and" condition for field "Created", operator "on", and value "Last 2 years".
- Create the visualization by clicking "Add this source" in the bottom right.
Configure Visualization
- Under the Configuration right sidebar, change "Visualization type" to "Line".
- By default, the "Trend by" section for line graphs is "Date by Activity Due". UC San Diego does not use the Activity Due field, so this must be changed manually. If this is not changed, your graph will not show any data. Click on the "Trend by" value.
- For this article, we will change the "Data field for Case" to "Created" for created cases. You may also modify the "Aggregation period" to a designated time interval.
- We will also configure the "Group by" by selecting "Assignment group" for "Field for Case", which will show a trend line for every group that you are a part of. The Group By field controls the lines that are displayed, so if you want to show a line for every agent in your group, you can select 'Assigned To'.
- To customize the line colors, scroll down to the "Colors" section and set a desired color palette
- In the end, click Save, and your trend report will look something like this:
- From here you can bookmark this graph or add it to a dashboard.
