Overview

Kaltura media owners (and co-editors) can enable users to download their Kaltura media. Here's how - as the viewer - to download a Kaltura media entry in MediaSpace. These instructions apply to any UC San Diego Kaltura user.

Critical Concepts

• Kaltura media aren't downloadable by default. Someone with appropriate privileges must have enabled downloads for the entry.
• The process is slightly different in a Canvas Media Gallery. Check out our other KBA if needed, Download a Video from a Media Gallery.

Steps to Take

We're assuming that you're looking at the page in MediaSpace that has the video. 

1. Below the video, click the kebab (three dots), select Download, and then choose the quality level you want to download (if choices exist). If you have the hard drive space, we recommend downloading the "Original Quality (Source)" version.
