ServiceNow consumes name data from campus systems of record, so any name changes need to be made in the system of record.

You can expect ServiceNow to pick up your name change within 48 hours.
 

Steps to Take

Staff & Faculty

1. Log into UCPath by going to the UCSD UCPath website
   
   
2. Click on "Edit Profile" and enter your security question if prompted.
   
   
   
3. Expand the "Legal/Preferred Name" section and click on the arrow by "Preferred Name"
   
   
   
4. Update your preferred name information on the next page and save.
   
   
5. ServiceNow should pick up the change within 48 hours. Please note that ServiceNow only pulls your first and last name.

Students

1. Please go to the TritonLink Social Identities Tool to update your preferred name.
   
   
2. Once your preferred name has been updated, ServiceNow should pick up the change within 48 hours. Please note that ServiceNow only pulls your first and last name.
