Whenever you are editing a Kuali record, Kuali puts a lock on the record that you are working in. Any other users who try to access the record are unable to edit the record while you're editing it.
In order to delete your lock (or any lock on a record within your unit if you have the Department Research Administrator role in Kuali), you will need to do the following:
1) Go to Common Tasks:
2) Click on 'Locks' under the Quick Links card:
3) Click on the search button:
4) Find your record that you were editing (i.e. the record that has a lock on it) and click "Delete":
