Emergency Grants and Basic Needs

The Hub Basic Needs Center provides a "Basic Needs Emergency Grant" for students experiencing an immediate financial crisis due to loss of employment, illness, or other emergencies.

• How to apply: Complete the Basic Needs Assistance Form to be connected with a coordinator.
• Services: Assistance includes food security support, emergency housing resources, and financial wellness coaching.

 

Housing Payment Plans

If your hardship specifically affects your ability to pay for on-campus housing:

• Action: You can request a specialized payment plan directly through the Housing, Dining, and Hospitality (HDH) office.
• Contact: Email hdhbilling@ucsd.edu to discuss your situation and available installments.

 

Student Account Support

If you have a past-due balance on your student account (tuition and fees) and are unable to pay in full:

• Option: You may be eligible for a Time Payment Agreement (TPA).
• Contact: Submit a ticket to Student Financial Solutions to discuss payment options for your tuition balance.
