Service credit and retirement credit are two different items.
Check your service credit in UCPath.
Contact the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) online at https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/contacts/rasc.html or via phone at 1-800-888-8267.
Note that RASC has about a one-month delay in recording retirement credits.
UCPath calculates employment service credit and leave (vacation and sick hour) accruals according to each employee’s payroll cycle. To view accrued leave balances, navigate to UCPath > Employee Actions > Leave Balances or click on View Leave Balances on your UCPath employee dashboard.
UC employees can purchase retirement credits for periods in which they may have not worked full time or were on an unpaid leave of absence. The retirement credit purchase cost will be unique to each employee. Contact the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) online at https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/contacts/rasc.html or via phone at 1-800-888-8267 to inquire about buyback options.
The State Agency Service Verification eForm is used to capture absence management changes, such as sick leave and service credit, for previous CSU or State of CA employment.
Refer to Job Aid: State Agency Prior Service Verification eForm for guidance on how to access and submit the form.
If you have previous service credit with UCSD that is not recorded, the HR Payroll office can pull old records to verify and adjust service credit numbers. Your department HR contact should submit a request on your behalf to the HRSD Employee Center for records to be reviewed. Your department HR contact can then enter a request into UCPath to have your service credit adjusted.
