UCPath Pay Groups Matrix


OVERVIEW


This quick reference matrix summarizes the UCPath Pay Groups. Pay Group is a derived value; Job Code, Comp Rate Code, Pay Frequency  impact it and certain Pay Groups require a manual override (6MH, 6MS, 6BE), which is requested via the Job Data Update form.

Reach out to your appropriate Central HR office (Grad Div, Post Doc, APO, HR, HHR, ARC, etc.) for approval/assistance if changes need to be made to Pay Group or compensation:   

Pay Group Assignment, Configuration and Code List - This UPK provides information on Pay Group assignments, Configuration and Code Lists. A Pay Group is a processing entity necessary for creating paysheets, calculating payroll, confirming payroll and running reports and files. UCPath assigns pay groups to employees based on a variety of factors, such as union affiliation (if any), benefits available and so on.

NON-EXEMPT BIWEEKLY PAYGROUPS
56Union equal F3 Positive Non-Exempt Hourly REG - Union Code = “F3” then the pay group will be “D56”. Davis only  
B8Employees on a 14-day workweek. Employees in this group must be paid at least 1.5 times their regular rate of pay for all hours physically worked over 8 in a day or 80 hours in a 14-day period, whichever would result in greater pay to the employee. Positive Non-Exempt Hourly REG - FLSA Status = Non Exempt  and
