Holiday Office Closure and Key Dates

Student Financial Solutions thanks you for your inquiry!  

Our office will be closed from Monday, December 23rd at 2pm through Wednesday, January 1st due to the winter break. During this time, we will not be reviewing cases or answering phones. We have provided information below to answer the most common questions; however, if your specific concern is not addressed, please contact the office again after January 1st and we will be happy to resolve your issue.

Due Date for Winter Quarter Fees

December 20, 2024

SFS does not assess fees for late payment.

Winter Quarter Start DateJanuary 6, 2025
Financial Aid Winter Quarter Refund Processing

January 6, 2025

2-3 business days for direct deposit

5-7 business days for paper check

Cancellation of Classes for Non-Payment of Tuition and Registration Fees

January 9, 2025

Payment must be received by January 8, 2025 to avoid being dropped from classes.

SFS does not assess fees for late payment.

Health insurance waiver (USHIP): SFS is not the office of record and cannot access your information or details about the health insurance waiver. Please contact Student Health Services, after January 1st, at 858-534-2124.

Financial Aid: If you are not receiving the financial aid you are expecting, please contact the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office, after January 1st, at finaid@ucsd.edu, or by phone at 858-534-4480.
