Lost Student ID Cards: What to Do


Overview


If you have lost your UCSD ID card, follow these steps to protect your accounts and find out if it has been recovered.
 

Steps to Take


  1. Check Your UCSD Email 
    If the Campus Cards Office receives your lost card, we will automatically send a notification to your @ucsd.edu email address. If you have not received an email, we do not have your card. 
  2. Secure Your Account
    To prevent others from using your card for Triton Cash or dining dollars, deactivate it immediately:
    1. Log in to the Triton Card Account Services website.
    2. Select the Deactivate option.
  3. Search Nearby Locations
    ID cards are often turned in to the nearest building or the Police Department. Check the following locations near where you last had your card:
    • Building front desks or lost-and-found boxes
    • The UC San Diego Police Department (located at the Campus Services Complex).
    • Nearby dining halls or markets.
  4. Search Nearby Locations
    If you cannot find your card, you will need to order a replacement.
