Why Didn't I Receive a 1098-T This Year?

You may not have received a 1098-T for one of the following reasons:

• You were not billed qualified education expenses or did not receive applicable scholarships or grants for this tax year. 
• OR, your last term of enrollment was Winter Quarter 2021. Qualifying education expenses for Winter Quarter 2021 may have been assessed and paid for in 2020 and thus, were already included in your 2020 1098-T.
• OR, you took courses for which no academic credit is offered, even if you were enrolled in a degree program. 

The 1098-T form is solely provided to help you determine your eligibility of the Education Tax Credits. UC San Diego is unable to provide individual income tax advice.
