Review this KBA for information about 529 payments as they relate to the 1098-T tax form.
In summary, 529 payments do not impact how UCSD prepares student 1098-T tax forms, and they should be viewed as separate pieces of your overall taxation preparation. UCSD distributes the 1098-T form through our vendor Tab Services which is available online to the student after January 31. You should thoroughly review the 1098-T IRS form if you have not already.
Note: Parents or family must be listed as an authorized payer on the student’s account in order to receive information about that account.
