Overview
New and existing UC San Diego employees can request an official campus ID card through the Campus Cards Office. The current cost for a new or replacement ID card is $25.00 (subject to change).
Determine Your Payment Method
Before starting your request, identify how your card will be funded:
- Department-Funded: You will need a Chart of Accounts (COA) from your supervisor. This includes a Project Number (7 digits) and a Task Number (1–3 digits).
- Self-Funded: If you are paying individually, you can pay by debit or credit card via the TritonCard eMarket portal.
Submit Your Photo
All ID cards require a professional photo.
- Upload your photo through the Online Photo Submission Tool.
- Photo Criteria: Use a plain, white background with even lighting. Face forward with no hats, sunglasses, or masks.
- Wait for an email confirming your photo has been approved before proceeding with the next step.
Submit the Request Form
Once your photo is approved, complete the final administrative step:
- Fill out the Online Employee ID Card Request Form.
- Enter your COA information (if department-funded) or your eMarket receipt number (if self-funded).
- Approval: After the form is submitted, it is reviewed by your department and the Campus Cards Office. This typically takes 1–5 business days.
