When a student authorizes a payer in the new TritonPay, the payer will be able to view and pay their student's bill. Students may authorize as many payers as needed to view and pay their university bill. SFS will only disclose student billing information to the student and their authorized payers.
Authorizing a Payer (Instructions for Student):
- Log into TritonPay using your single sign-on credentials
- On the left hand side, click on "my account"
- Under "Payers" section, click on "Send a payer invitation"
- Fill out the form and click "Send invitation"
- An email will be sent to your authorized payer with instructions on how to create their profile
Authorized Payer Instructions:
- Upon being authorized by your student, you should receive an email stating that an account has been created for you
- Click on the designated link in the email to access the account
- Login using the Parent pin (which is your username) and password provided in the email
- Once logged in, the payer will be required to create a new password
- Upon creating a new password, the payer will now have access to view and pay their student's bill
Authorized Payer Instructions (additional students):
- If you are an authorized payer of multiple students at UC San Diego, you can add additional students to your profile. Once logged in, click on "View a different student," to the right of your student's name.
- Click on "Link to another student" to add an additional student.
- Enter the parent pin (username) and password provided via the authorization email for your other student. This should have arrived shortly after your student submitted the request to authorize you as a payer.
- Click "Continue."
You will now be able to toggle between your students whenever you click on "View a different student," from the main page.
