Troubleshooting Missing or Pending Financial Aid

If you are expecting Financial Aid but do not see it on your account, it may be in "Pending" status or there may be a missing requirement in your file.

 

What is "Pending Aid"?


UC San Diego assesses fees approximately 30 days before the quarterly due date. During the time between fee assessment and the actual payout of your aid, your funds are reflected as Pending Aid.

If you do not see any aid—or if the amount is lower than expected—check the following:

If you have confirmed your units and submitted all documents, but your aid is still missing:

  1. Contact Financial Aid: Speak with a counselor via the Financial Aid Inquiry Portal.
  2. Submit a Ticket: If you need further assistance from Student Financial Solutions regarding your bill, submit a support ticket.
